Featuring - Donny Hathaway

Donny Edward Hathaway (October 1, 1945 – January 13, 1979) was an Grammy Award-winning American soul musician. He signed with Atlantic Records in 1969, and with his first single "The Ghetto, Part I" (1970), Rolling Stone magazine "marked him as a major new force in soul music." His collaborations with Roberta Flack took him to the top of the charts and won him the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for the duet "Where Is the Love" in 1973.
If you would like to have the video tribute sent directly to your inbox in video email form - send us your email address and we will do so
In honor of Black History Month, we are taking the second half of the month to do daily video tributes to the Icons of our Black History. On this network, this is only the 2nd blog, however it is the third video tribute.
Also...Monday was our first video tribute in which we honored Billie Holiday! If you missed it and would still like to view it, let us know and we will send that one as well
Thanks for your support and kudos.
And please........ share the video tributes and blogs with your friends and families. If we don't honor our history....noone else will!
Peace
